
CLARION, Pa. – District 9 announced its 2025 playoff basketball brackets on Thursday, Feb. 13.
Top seeds in boys’ basketball include Elk County Catholic (Class 1A), Clarion (Class 2A), Brookville (Class 3A), Clearfield (Class 4A), and DuBois (Class 5A).
Top seeds in girls’ basketball include DuBois Central Catholic (Class 1A), Redbank Valley (Class 2A), Karns City (Class 3A), and Clearfield (Class 4A).
In girls’ basketball, Punxsutawney is the lone District 9 entrant in Class 5A. The Lady Chucks will play the District 8 champion on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Punxsutawney in a subregional game with the winner of that game playing another subregional against the District 10 champion on Saturday, March 1 (if Punxsutawney wins the game will be at Punxsutawney).
District 9 will once again be holding a “Super Saturday” at PennWest Clarion’s Tippin Gym on Saturday, March 1. The day will have six games, including five District 9 championship games, and one subregional title game. Games will start at 11 a.m. and continue throughout the day.
All tickets for District 9 playoff events will be sold online at this link. Live ticket links may not be available until Friday, Feb. 14.
