Mr. Walter joined the District 9 committee at the start of the 2025-26 school year. He is the principal at Clarion Area High School, a position he has held since 2024. He also spent a number of years as the principal at Clarion Area Elementary School and has been employed by the Clarion Area School District since 2002 as a teacher, athletic director, and principal. He is also currently the boys’ basketball coach at North Clarion and served as the girls’ basketball coach at Clarion Area. In addition, Mr. Walter has also been a basketball and volleyball official for nearly 25 years, and a father of four current athletes, including two at the varsity level.
