Mrs. Orton has been a member of the District 9 committee since 2021. She is the female parent’s representative to the committee.
She is a fifth-grade teacher at A-C Valley Elementary School.
Mrs. Orton said the reason she wanted to be on the District 9 committee was because she has been involved with athletics nearly her entire life from being an athlete to a coach to an athletic director, and (most importantly) the mom of an athlete.
“Applying for the female parent representative position seemed like a very natural thing for me to
try because it allows me to still be a part of the athletic world,” Mrs. Orton said. “The past two years on the committee have been very involved, eye-opening, and busy. I appreciate being given the opportunity to serve in this capacity.”
