BROOKVILLE – The Bradford boys and Punxsutawney girls track and field teams won District 9 Class 3A titles on Friday at Brookville.
Clearfield’s Haley Custaney was named the girls’ Manners Award winner as the meet MVP, while Bradford’s Logan Kohler and Punxsutawney’s Chris Setree shared the Manners Award winner on the boys’ side for the meet MVP.
In the girls’ meet, Punxsutawney edged DuBois, 122-119 to win the D9 crown, while in the boys’ meet, Bradford topped second-place DuBois, 118.5 to 99.
Custaney won the 100-meter hurdles, while coming in second in the 100-meter dash and the 300-meter hurdles.
Kohler won the 110-meter hurdles in a meet and facility-record time of 14.19. He bettered the previous facility record of 14.4 held by Kane’s Joseph Newton and the meet record of 14.5 set last year by Clearfield’s Brady Collins.
Kohler also won the 300-meter hurdles and was a member of the Owls’ 4×400-meter championship relay team.
In addition, he ran a leg on Bradford’s second-place 4×100-meter relay team.
Setree won the 1,600-meter run and the 3,200-meter run, while running on the second-place 4×800-meter relay team and the third-place 4×400-meter relay team.
