BROOKVILLE, Pa. – On Thursday, District 9 announced a change to its Class 1A baseball schedule for Friday, May 23.
Both semifinal games will now be at Stern Field in DuBois. At 4 p.m., No. 4 Port Allegany will play top seed DuBois Central Catholic. Following that game, at approximately 6:30 p.m., No. 3 Elk County Catholic will play No. 2 Clarion.
According to District 9 baseball chairman Dave Osborne, the change was made due to the outfield being unplayable.
