DUBOIS, Pa. – Elk County Catholic’s Anna Biondi and Audree Meyer won the 2025 District 9 Class 2A girls’ doubles tennis title on Monday at DuBois High School.
Biondi and Meyer defeated St. Marys’s Sara Regulski and Isabelle Farabaugh, 5-7, 6-4, 6-0, in the championship.
District 9 chairman Aaron Straub, who is also the Tennis Chairman, also wanted to congratulate USTA umpire Mike Sciabica, who was honored in a ceremony before the start of the tournament as part of PIAA Officials Appreciation Week.
According to Straub, Mike has been serving as the USTA official for the Singles, Doubles, and Team tennis tournaments for both the girls (fall season) and boys (spring season) for the past couple of decades. Thank you to official Mike Sciabica.
