
BROOKVILLE – Cranberry’s Darien Wenner and Bradford’s Payten Leet won District 9 girls’ individual golf titles, and Cranberry and DuBois won team titles on Monday at Pinecrest in Brookville.

Wenner shot an 88, finishing one stroke ahead of Brookville’s Samantha Neil for the Class 2A title.

Leet won the Class 3A title by carding an 86, 13 shots ahead of DuBois’s Claire Kennis.

All three golfers qualified for the PIAA championships, being held Oct. 20-21 in State College.
Cranberry shot a team score of 359, finishing six shots ahead of second-place Moniteau, while DuBois shot a 293, eight shots ahead of second-place Bradford.
In addition to Wenner, making up the Berries squad were Raquel Knight (131), Kallie Mong (140), and Mackenzie Kennedy (161).

Joining Claire Kennis on the DuBois team were Audrey Kennis (97), Olivia Imbrogno (107), Ava Wildnauer (110), and Madison McAllister (111).

The top three scores on each team counted toward team scoring.
